Plot Synopsis

When a murder occurs, those closest to the victim will all say the same thing about their experience: it never really ends. What starts as an isolated tragedy, takes on a life of its own, as family and friends haunted by the murder, replay details of that night again and again. Produced by Ample Entertainment, the show uses this very real phenomenon to remember the murder through different key storytellers -- whether they be family members, detectives or friends. With each character's re-experiencing of the same pivotal moments, the story moves forward, the details take on new meaning, and the case gets closer to being solved.

Season 2 of THE NIGHT THAT DIDN'T END premiered on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "My Name is Denise," police receive a call that a young mother has gone missing from her home in North Port, Florida. On Monday, January 27, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered "A Mother's Love," the Season 2 finale of THE NIGHT THAT DIDN'T END. In the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, a pregnant mother and her fiance are kidnapped on the night before their baby shower. When the fiance's family receives ransom calls shortly after, there's no mistake that the couple's lives are hanging by a thread.
