Plot Synopsis
NITRO CIRCUS LIVE goes behind the scenes as Travis Pastrana, his fearless Nitro crew, and a gang of accomplished action sports stars tour the world. This crazy Nitro crew does everything from camel racing and sheep shearing to jumping en masse out of an airplane riding bikes, trikes, snow skis and bodyboards. Plus, this series highlights personal stories of the crew, showing a different side of these inspirational people, including: Aaron 'Wheelz' Fotheringham, the first wheelchair athlete to back flip his chair off the 60-foot high Gigant-A-Ramp; X-Games gold medalist Cam Sinclair, who almost died performing the double back flip; and many more crew members. During Season 1, the crew toured through Australia and New Zealand. Season 2, which premiered on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11pm ET/PT, picks up where the first season left off with the Nitro crew doing their best to outdo each other with one trick crazier than the next, only this time throughout all of Europe. MTV2 aired the Season 3 premiere on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 11pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the new season, 17-time X Games gold medalist Pastrana takes his fearless crew made up of well-known and accomplished action sports stars on a tour across Hong Kong, Bali, New Zealand, Russia and his home base in Maryland. NITRO CIRCUS LIVE returned for its fourth season on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11pm ET/PT, as MTV2 aired back-to-back new episodes. Travis Pastrana -- Nitro Circus founder, ringleader and 10-time X Games gold medalist -- leads the crew as they kick off the tour with a heart-stopping show in historic Boston and sell out the crown jewel of arenas: Madison Square Garden in New York City. The rest of the season, which includes eight total episodes, takes a personal look into the adventures and lives of these colorful characters on the Nitro Circus tour as they travel throughout North America and Europe.
