Plot Synopsis

Bobby Deen, son of Paula Deen, takes his mother's recipes and transforms her Southern comfort food into lighter and leaner, yet still delicious, dishes. Each week, Bobby uses healthy substitutes that cut down on calories and fat as he re-creates two of his Mama's famous meals, including: Krispy Kreme bread pudding; chocolate mousse pie; pimento cheese sandwiches; gooey butter cake; shrimp and grits; fried apple pies; chili dogs; smashed potato cakes; and many other famous dishes from Paula's past. Plus, Bobby introduces his own dishes: fresh fruit bread pudding; frozen chocolate pie; spicy sweet potato chips. NOT MY MAMA'S MEALS returned for a third season on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 9pm ET, featuring brew experts Stephan Valand and Erica Shea, who taught Bobby to make light, but still flavor-filled beer for his chicken at the Brooklyn Brew Shop.

Season 4 premiered on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, as Sabrina Soto introduced Bobby to Havana on the Hudson, where they sampled and bought authentic food to cook their Cuban meal.
