Plot Synopsis
ONE SHOT: OVERTIME ELITE is a six-episode docuseries that explores the lives of Overtime Elite's (OTE) next generation of basketball stars from around the country, as they navigate through various challenges and grueling training in pursuit of a professional basketball career. OTE is an eight-team league with teams based in Atlanta and other cities around the country. The teams feature some of the top high school basketball players globally, both professional and amateur. OTE provides two paths -- a professional, salaried path and a scholarship path for amateurs -- and every player gets the same access to world-class coaching, state-of-the-art training facilities, and integrated data and analytics, in addition to a rigorous and customized academic program at OTE Academy. The series also goes behind the scenes of a league that is disrupting traditional paths to the NBA and inspiring an entirely new generation of basketball players and fans alike.
While diving into what it truly takes to make it to the next level -- the drive, the sacrifice, the perseverance, and the glory -- Season 1 of ONE SHOT: OVERTIME ELITE also highlights the journey of Amen Thompson and Ausar Thompson, showcasing their ascent as top prospects within the league's emerging generation of basketball stars on the path to the NBA Draft. All six episodes of ONE SHOT: OVERTIME ELITE's first season dropped on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 on Prime Video.
