Plot Synopsis

After a lifetime of mistakes, 30-year-old Linda is sent to serve time in Iceland's only women's prison for vicious assaulting her father with a golf club, leaving him in a coma. But no one knows that she harbors a dark secret that could tear her family apart -- a secret that could set her free. Meanwhile, Linda's older sister, Valgerdur (aka Vala), is a politician and MP, who suspects she may have a new political rival. Their mother, Herdis, is a typical housewife, and she receives an unexpected visitor as Linda falls back into bad habits.
