Plot Synopsis

When she hears about the murder of a young woman in the wilderness in northern Norway, doctoral student Maja Angell sets aside her research on serial killers and heads from London back to her Sami community to try to catch one. Although she encounters resistance from the local police, Maja is soon on the killer's trail -- a path that will lead dangerously close to those she loves, leading her to confront her own demons. Created by Arne Berggren and Kristine Berg, OUTLIER had its U.S. premiere on Monday, July 19, 2021, as Acorn TV released the entire eight-episode first season.
