Plot Synopsis

PAAVA KADHAIGAL explores how love, pride and honor influence complex relationships through four stories, each helmed by renowned directors and woven into an anthology. On Friday, December 18, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released all four 35-minute stories:

"Thangam": Facing longtime bullying and ostracization, a trans villager risks everything to support the dream of a beloved childhood friend.

"Love Panna Uttranum": Fearing their father's staunch views on marriage, two sisters take separate approaches to tell him who they love, with wildly different outcomes.

"Vaanmagal": A family grapples with guilt, anger and social stigma after their spirited young daughter suffers a traumatic incident.

"Oor Iravu": Estranged from her family after eloping, a now-pregnant young woman is brought home by her father, who says he wishes to hold a baby shower for her.
