Plot Synopsis

Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, THE PENGUIN is an eight-episode series that continues the crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with the 2022 theatrical film THE BATMAN. The story opens in the wake of Carmine Falcone's death, as Oz attempts to legitimize himself among Gotham's criminal underworld. THE PENGUIN debuted on a special night on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT on HBO, which subsequent episodes debuting Sundays at 9pm on HBO. The premiere episode repeats on September 22, with new episodes from September 29 through November 10. Episodes include:

"After Hours" (Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 9pm): In the wake of Carmine Falcone's death, Oz attempts to legitimize himself among Gotham's criminal underworld.

"Inside Man" (Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 9pm): Sofia works to secure her family's strength, while Oz attempts to play both the Falcone and Maroni families to his advantage.

"Bliss" (Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 9pm): Hoping to control the future of Gotham's drug trade, Oz and Sofia must first address the skeletons in their closet. Meanwhile, Victor is torn between his new life and what remains of his old.

"Cent'anni" (Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 9pm): Confronting the events that turned her into "The Hangman" -- and led to a decade-long fight to survive in Arkham State Hospital -- Sofia makes plans for a more hopeful future.

"Homecoming" (Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 9pm): With his nascent operation at stake, Oz makes a desperate move to turn the tables. Meanwhile, Sofia strives to build a new legacy for herself.

"Gold Summit" (Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 9pm): Despite his enemies' attempts to smoke him out, Oz seeks to expand his reach in the city. Meanwhile, Victor crosses paths with a former adversary.

"Top Hat" (Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 9pm): Oz fights to preserve everything he's built, while Sofia makes a shocking discovery.

"A Great Or Little Thing" (Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 9pm): Truths are laid bare as Oz Cobb nears the end of his journey and his power struggle with Sofia comes to a head.
