Plot Synopsis

Four teams compete against each other in elimination challenges as they try to pick, bargain, and buy their way to the best deals -- and the $10,000 grand prize. In each 60-minute episode, teams compete in three rounds. In the first round, each of the four teams is given $100 to spend on a single item, and then they return to the Dealers' Room, where judges Todd and Ethan Merrill put a retail value on each item and the team with the least valuable item is "picked off." The remaining three teams progress to the next round, during which they spend their money from the "sale" of their first item. After a second team is "picked off," the last two teams compete for the winner-take-all $10,000 grand prize in the third and final challenge. As teams dig through barns, they meet interesting locals, especially since every episode takes place in a different part of America, showcasing the unique culture and history of each region. The Merrill brothers, who are third generation dealers and highly respected in the antiques world, offer offer fascinating facts about the items in addition to their values and the teams' picking strategies.
