Plot Synopsis

Written and executive produced by Damon Wayans and Kevin Hench and loosely based on the Wayanses' lives, POPPA'S HOUSE is a half-hour comedy series that centers on legendary talk radio host and happily divorced "Poppa," who faces professional and personal challenges. At the radio station, Poppa gets surprised when corporate brings in brainy psychologist Dr. Ivy Reid to add a female perspective to his radio show and to challenge his perspectives. In his personal life, Poppa finds himself often parenting his adult son, Damon (aka Junior), a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible husband to wife Nina and a father, who all live in a home bought by Junior's father-in-law, J.J. And Junior's life becomes more complicated when he gets fired by J.J. after missing a big sales pitch.
