Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Anne-Marie Withenshaw, PRESSURE COOKER: CHEF VS. CHEF features home cooks from across Canada, who, with the help of celebrity chefs, create culinary masterpieces for judge Giles Coren, while battling each other and conveyor belts of food. Every week, two pairs of home cooks face off, with a celebrity chef coaching each duo. The ingredients used in competition arrive on specially designed, quick-moving conveyor belts that force home cooks to make split-second decisions about what to use before it's gone. At any time, the conveyor belt can kick back into action, forcing competitors to add ingredients to their dishes. At the end of each one-hour episode, Coren crowns a winner. Guest chefs include Rocco Dispirito, Stefano Faita, Graham Elliot, Nadia G, Duff Goldman, Hugh Acheson, Eric Greenspan, Alex Guarnaschelli, DJ BBQ, and Anne Burrell. FYI aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10pm ET/11pm PT, more than three months after it premiered on the W Network in Canada, where it aired with a shorter title, PRESSURE COOKER.
