Plot Synopsis
Based on Scott Turow's 1987 book of the same name, PRESUMED INNOCENT is an eight-episode limited series that explores the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney's office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together. Executive produced by J.J. Abrams, showrunner David E. Kelley, and series star Jake Gyllenhaal, PRESUMED INNOCENT debuted on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 on Apple TV+, which released the first two episodes. A new installment drops weekly on Wednesdays through July 24. Episodes include:
"Based Loaded" (Wednesday, June 12, 2024): Chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich is determined to investigate the horrific murder of this colleague, Carolyn Polhemus.
"People vs. Rozat Sabich" (Wednesday, June 12, 2024): Tommy Molto continues to build he case as Raymond comes to Rusty's defense.
"Discovery" (Wednesday, June 19, 2024): Rusty learns of the evidence against him. Barbara looks to protect herself and her family as new secrets emerge.
