Plot Synopsis

Hosted by artist Ruben Rojas, each one-hour episode of PUBLIC ARTIST follows a group of artists as they plan, organize, and create public art displays. The pilot episode of PUBLIC ARTIST made its debut on Saturday, May 7, 2022, Magnolia Network (11pm) and the Magnolia App (morning). In the pilot, four local artists in Waco, Texas, share their inspiration for a mural representing their hometown and compete to win an epic public art commission. Winning artist Brad Settles painted a mural on the south wall of the Waco Hippodrome.
