Plot Synopsis

Celebrities surprise hardworking, civic-minded college students with grants and gifts. Each 60-minute episode features a different celebrity, student, and university, including: Usher and Sway Calloway, who award a $12,000 check to Howard University's Corey Arvinger, a student working two jobs at home while trying to raise tuition money online; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who surprise sophomore superfan Julia Collins at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia with two VIP tickets to see them perform at the Hangout Festival; Nick Cannon, who presents a donation of cycling gear and gift cards to University of South Florida's Kiersten Downs, a veteran and doctoral student biking from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. to raise money for the Student Veterans of America; and Darren Criss, who provides a $1,000 grant to Princeton's Leora Friedman, a junior changing the lives of seriously ill patients through her love of music and passion for philanthropy.
