Plot Synopsis
Based on Rumiko Takahashi's graphic novels of the same name, RANMA 1/2 is a half-hour anime that centers on Akane Tendo, who meets her new fiance, Ranma Saotome, a martial arts prodigy with a twist: he magically transforms into a girl upon touching cold water. Ever since Ranma fell into the cursed springs of Jusenkyo while training in China, his body has acquired the peculiar trait of transforming into a girl when doused with cold water and reverting to a boy with hot water.
