Plot Synopsis

This three-part special follows Joe Giudice and his family, who must learn to cope without their beloved matriarch through some very important family milestones, as THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY's Teresa Giudice is serving out her 15-month prison term at Danbury Correctional Facility in Connecticut for bankruptcy and conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. While Joe struggles to maintain order in the house, he does his best to keep a sense of normalcy for his four daughters -- Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana-- with regular summer trips down to the Jersey Shore, and a trip to the Catskills. Plus, extended family -- including Teresa's brother Joe Gorga, sister-in-law Melissa and cousin Rosie Pierri -- rally to support Joe as he navigates Gia's eighth-grade prom and graduation, pre-teen hormones and the always-energetic Milania. Despite her absence, Teresa remains a major presence and driving force in the family with daily "check in" calls from jail and frequent family prison visits. When Teresa is released from prison, Joe will begin his 41-month stint in jail for similar charges.
