Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of REAL TIME CRIME features two crime stories with life and death stakes. Filmed across nine states, with exclusive access to nerve centers from New York to New Orleans, each story includes incredible CCTV footage along with interviews with the major protagonists -- police solving the crimes, witnesses and the families of the victims. In the season opener, "Watch Your Back," a shooting in Mississippi leaves a man fighting for his life, while police and a Real Time Crime Center use gunshot detection technology to track the shooter before he strikes again; meanwhile, in South Carolina, RTCC cameras capture a deadly bar brawl.

Season 2 of REAL TIME CRIME premiered on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. The season opener, "Warpath," takes place in: Albany, New York, where a camera catches a murder, and a Real Time Crime Center helps bring the killer to justice; and Ft. Worth, Texas, where police use surveillance cameras to track down a gunman and stop a one-man crime wave.
