Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Guy Fieri, RESTAURANT HUSTLE is an annual end-of-year special that explores how the restaurant industry was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic during the previous 12 months:

"2020: All on the Line" (Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network): This special follows world-class chefs Maneet Chauhan, Antonia Lofaso, Christian Petroni,and Marcus Samuelsson as they each picked up a camera and with the help of friends and family documented the challenges their restaurants faced during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. When local governments took unprecedented measures to close restaurants across the country, these restaurateurs embarked on an emotional roller coaster as they had to strategize how to save their businesses and keep their employees going. From pivoting to takeout and delivery orders, to serving food to front line healthcare workers and people in need in their communities, each chef's life and business will be forever changed by the global pandemic.

"2021: Back in Business" (Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 7pm ET/PT on Food Network): In this follow-up to "2020: All on the Line," the same four chefs -- Maneet Chauhan, Antonia Lofaso, Christian Petroni and Marcus Samuelsson -- turn the cameras back on and document the new highs and lows of navigating the re-emerging restaurant industry in 2021. With the dominance of COVID-19 slowly receding and states and cities coming back to life in a variety of ways, each chef has a unique plan to get cooking and get their restaurants -- and themselves -- back on track. The year also offers Maneet, Antonia, Christian and Marcus fresh opportunities and challenges to shine in the ever-changing food industry, media landscape and restaurant business.
