Plot Synopsis

In this series of 60-minute specials, ROAD TO THE OCTAGON follows main-card fighters as they prepare for their upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) matches in the UFC on FOX series. The premiere program featured an in-depth look at: Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua, a former UFC and PRIDE champion, who is a mixed martial arts legend looking to launch a title run anew; and Brandon 'The Truth' Vera, who once on the fast track to UFC stardom but is now seeking to redeem and rebuild a career that once seemed unstoppable. After premiering on FOX approximately one week before the featured fight, these programs will then also be shown on FUEL, FOX Sports and FX in the days leading up to the match.
