Plot Synopsis

ROADSIDE EATS is a series of three one-hour specials that highlight the best American eateries that might require a little extra mileage to get to. The first special, "Top 20," which premiered on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 1pm ET/PT on Travel Channel, counted down the top 20 restaurants in America that require an automobile or truck -- from off-the-highway Hawaiian food trucks to side street snow cones in New Orleans. Nearly a year-and-a-half later, Travel Channnel debuted the final two specials at 10pm on consecutive Sundays in late January 2018:

"Colossal Comfort Foods" (January 21, 2018): This one-hour special highlights the best comfort food in the United States -- from gourmet grub in a gas station to frozen custard straight from the source and a taste of the best hot dog found anywhere in the nation.

"Under $10" (January 28, 2018): This one-hour special features the best roadside dishes under ten bucks.
