Plot Synopsis
Traveling by van with little money, strange accommodations and long hours, four Americans and two Ugandans trek across the United States to increase awareness of Joseph Kony and raise support to help end the longest running war in Africa. After Benna and Brenda train in Uganda and arrive in the States, the team starts in San Diego and land in Long Island six days later for their first screening. These six roadies are: Adam, a 29-year-old from Oxford, MA, who has already been on seven Invisible Children tours and plans on going to Uganda for the first time; Angela, a 25-year-old from Tampa, FL, who has toured New England twice as a Roadie and always carries a tambourine with her; Rachel, a 23-year-old pursuing her Masters in Counseling at Liberty University, who went to Uganda with another organization before joining Invisible Children and now teaches preschool in her hometown; Alex, a 20-year-old originally from Louisville, KY, who studied at Columbia College in Chicago and is taking time off to be the city coordinator for Invisible Children's NYC Street Team; Brenda, from the Acholi Tribe in Uganda, who wants to be a member of the Ugandan Parliament and whose father and cousin were killed by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA); and Benna, also from the Acholi Tribe in Uganda, who is on her second tour with Invisible Children, is Brenda's mentor for the tour, and was forced to live in a displacement camp when the LRA was in Northern Uganda.
