Plot Synopsis
Formed in 2013 by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), a subsidiary of ESPN, and first played in 2014, the SALUTE TO VETERANS BOWL (formerly called the CAMELLIA BOWL) is an annual college football game matching up the Sun Belt Conference against the Mid-American Conference (MAC) at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, AL, before the Christmas holiday. In the inaugural CAMELLIA BOWL, Bowling Green beat South Alabama 33-28 on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in a game watched by 1.11 million viewers on ESPN.
