Plot Synopsis

Based on the true story of a prolific American serial killer, SERIAL THRILLER: THE HEAD HUNTER is the third and final installment in the SERIAL THRILLER trilogy. In 1972, a beautiful seaside city in California is devastated by a series of missing students and hitchhikers. As the hills and ocean wash up human remains, detectives must find the killer in a frantic bid to restore calm to the frenzied murder capitol. When an arrest is made, detectives pray they have caught their serial killer. But a gruesome discovery on the beach throws the whole case into question -- is there more than one murderer at large? After Aiko has been missing for a while, her mother begs detectives not to give up their search, but the cops are reaching their breaking point under community pressure. A shocking phone call to a patrol officer reveals a terrible and unexpected confession. The murderer's identity is a mystery at first, leaving viewers to unravel the clues from episode to episode, with each character's storyline serving as a reminder that behind every crime are real people and lives devastatingly transformed.
