Plot Synopsis

Taekrok gets a threatening call and is falsely charged with murder. After being framed for the crime, he desperately recalls the past. While delving into cases he undertook, he becomes appalled by a mistake he made in the past -- and becomes suspicious of everyone around him. But he soon comes to the realization that he's not the target of the blackmailer, who put people around Taekrok in danger. SHADOW DETECTIVE premiered on Hulu with two episodes on Wednesday, October 22, 2022, with two new installments debuting weekly through November 16.

Season 2 of SHADOW DETECTIVE debuted with two new episodes on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 on Hulu. The new season opens wiht Taekrok having conflicts with his team leader, Yeon Juhyun, while Seonga struggles in a juvenile theft probe. After Seonga gets injured, Taekrok tries to uncover the truth. Two new episodes debut weekly on Wednesdays.
