Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, THE SHOP is a half-hour series that gives viewers an unprecedented barbershop experience, which for many provides a sanctuary for spirited, free-flowing discussions. The series visits barber shops around the country to gather distinguished individuals who join James and Carter to speak honestly on sports, music, pop culture, world events, business and other culturally relevant topics. THE SHOP airs periodically throughout the year.

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11pm ET/PT, HBO premiered THE SHOP. The series opener, shot in Los Angeles, features rap icon Snoop Dogg, New York Giants' superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Golden State Warriors' star and three-time NBA champion Draymond Green, Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler with the Seattle Seahawks now Philadelphia Eagles' defensive end Michael Bennett, rapper Vince Staples, Los Angeles Sparks' star and two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker, stand-up comedian Jerrod Carmichael, and Peabody and Emmy-winning broadcaster Jon Stewart.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 11pm ET/PT, HBO premiered a new installment of THE SHOP, featuring actor-comic Kevin Hart; former football player Rob Gronkowski; basketball players Kevin Love and CJ McCollum; radio presenter Charlamagne tha God; rapper Lil Nas X; marketing executive Paul Rivera.

THE SHOP: UNINTERRUPTED returned for its fourth season on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 9:30pm ET/PT on HBO.
