Plot Synopsis

While cooking for her friends and family -- husband Brian, their new six-month-old baby, and extended family -- host Siba Mtongana infuses a totally modern twist into traditional South African recipes she grew up with. In each 30-minute episode of SIBA'S TABLE, Siba dishes up a different meal, including: an easy feast with sticky Asian glazed gammon, ginger and coriander corn salad and a no-cook cheesecake for a big family gathering to celebrate Siba's baby turning 6 months old; flame grilled tuna steaks and juicy pork chops marinated in her signature BBQ sauce, spicy grilled corn, fuss free braai'd baby potatoes, and a smoked tomato relish for a fabulous surf and turf braai for Brian; juicy meatballs stuffed into toasted pittas, cool tzatziki and strawberry, almond and coconut slices for dessert as an alfresco feast for her baby's first picnic; easy stuffed baked salmon and crushed herb potatoes followed by cranberry nut cookies with ice cream and passion fruit sauce for Thursday-night date night; slow roast lamb with mint mustard gravy and seven-color rice followed by a showstopping Sunday trifle for Siba's seven-color lunch table; BBQ with South African classic chakalaka, avocado and red bean salad and ice cream cake for a last minute supper party for her best friend who's flying into Cape Town; banana and cranberry granola, delicious Cape Town tarts, a twist on 'ham and eggs' and a warm market salad for a Saturday brunch for friends; and much more. Season 2 of SIBA'S TABLE returned for its second season in the United States on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 9:30am ET/6:30am PT. In the season opener, "Market Fresh," Siba's musician friends are in town, so she's jazzing up weekend lunch with a farmers' market-inspired feast. Taking center stage is a show-stopping Chicken Salad with Bacon Wrapped Greens, and Herbed Mushroom Tin Loaves with Onion Chive Cream Cheese on the side. For dessert, tempting and sweet Coconut Macaroons!
