Plot Synopsis

Created by Michael Cusack & Zach Hadel, SMILING FRIENDS is a quarter-hour animated series that follows the employees of Smiling Friends Inc., a small company dedicated to bringing happiness to a bizarre yet colorful world. The company consists of cynical Charlie and star employee Pim, each tasked with out-calls to cheer people up. There's also meticulous Allan who keeps things in order, mysterious Glep, and the unpredictable billionaire Boss who founded the company. The show's pilot first debuted on the network in 2020 during adult swim's annual April Fools' Day stunt.

The sophomore season of SMILING FRIENDS debuted on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 11:59pm ET/PT on adult swim with back-to-back quarter-hour episodes. In Season 2, Pim, Charlie, Zongo, Allan and Glep continue their mission to bring happiness to the world, whether it's a washed-up retro video game character, a troubled marriage, or even the president of the United States.
