Plot Synopsis

Host Josh Temple teams up with couples who are taking desperate measures to find a home in their dream neighborhood. He has just 24 hours to locate their new house in their ideal neighborhood, where no properties are currently listed. To find the couple their perfect place, Josh leads them up and down the streets, knocking on every door and asking to buy houses within 24 hours. The couple then tours houses of three willing homeowners and then makes an offer they hope is enticing enough. HGTV first aired SOLD ON THE SPOT on Sunday, November 11, 2013, more than 10 months before the official series premiere, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 1pm ET/PT on HGTV before the cable channel made a last-minute schedule change. In the series premiere, Phil and Hayley, who unexpectedly sold their home, are now on the move to their dream neighborhood of Horizon Hills, CA, to find a new home with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an updated kitchen, while fitting within their budget of $600,000.
