Plot Synopsis

Based on the TV series SUPER SOUL SUNDAY, SUPER SOUL features features conversations between host and executive producer Oprah Winfrey and top thinkers, authors, visionaries and spiritual leaders exploring themes and issues including happiness, personal fulfillment, spirituality, conscious living and what it means to be alive in today's world. Guests include: Golden Globe award-winning and Grammy-nominated actress and singer Andra Day (3/6); home and lifestyle brand leaders Chip and Joanna Gaines (3/13); actress and philanthropist Priyanka Chopra Jonas (3/20); Golden Globe-winning actress and activist Sharon Stone (3/27); American historian and Pulitzer prize-winner Jon Meacham (4/17); psychiatrist and childhood trauma-expert Dr. Bruce Perry (4/24); and Emmy award-winning actress Julianna Margulies (5/1).

In the series opener, Oprah talks to singer-songwriter Andra Day about her first acting role as Billie Holiday in Lee Daniel's THE UNITED STATES VS. BILLIE HOLIDAY. They discuss how Andra transformed her voice, her body and her entire essence to play the legendary singer.
