Plot Synopsis

Since 1968 at the World's Only Tattoo School in Shreveport, Lousiana, Dr. Bill Pogue, a licensed doctor of chiropractic and certified naturopathic physician, uses neuro-linguistics to teach artistic individuals how to become competent tattoo artists in a very short, intensive program. In each 30-minute episode, three students take Pogue's two-week intensive course, in which they're tested on three real-world challenges faced by working tattoo artists. Each challenge tests a specific skill or technique that is required to become successful in the business. From sketching to inking human VIP clients, students are subjected to all aspects of tattoo artistry, and the graduate with the best final, original tattoo is gifted with a golden gun. TLC first aired TATTOO SCHOOL as a one-hour special on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 9pm ET.
