Plot Synopsis

TEEN MUM, which originally aired in the UK with the title TEEN MOM UK, is a one-hour reality series that follows five new mums -- Chloe Patton, Mia Boardman, Megan Salmon Ferrari, Naomi Konickova and Amber Butler -- as they experience the highs and lows of teen parenthood. Just like its U.S. counterpart, TEEN MOM, this series is a rollercoaster of emotions as the mums face some of the biggest challenges and decisions of their young lives so far, juggling raising a baby with personal relationships, through to postnatal depression, managing work and finding time for a social life. TEEN MUM works in partnership with charities Brook and Gingerbread to provide advice for teens on sexual health and being a single parent. About the mothers:

Chloe (mother at age 17 to baby Marley): Chloe and boyfriend Jordan admit they didn't plan on starting a family so young, but the pair are navigating the journey of teen parenthood together. But it's not all plain sailing for this young couple as Chloe shares her story of overcoming the baby blues on the show, as well as maintaining relationships with friends and family. Before becoming a mum, Chloe wanted to be an actress - but her aspirations have been put on hold to raise little Marley.

Mia (mother at age 19 to baby Marliya): Another ambitious young mum, Mia hoped to be a singer before she fell pregnant, but says she's always wanted to be a mother and loves being a mum to daughter Marliya. Aww! This chatterbox will entertain you from start to finish with her one-liners and upbeat personality, despite the unconventional family dynamics - including her boyfriend Manley's daughter from a previous relationship - which she has to deal with.

Megan (mother at age 17 to baby Mckenzie): Essex-born Megan is one of the youngest mums on the show -- but definitely one of the feistiest! Deciding she wanted to be independent after falling pregnant with Mckenzie, Megan moved into a caravan with her new baby - and says having Mckenzie has made her grow up. Mckenzie's father is Dylan.

Naomi (mother at age 17 to baby Kyanna): Qualified make-up artist Naomi wants to challenge the stereotypes of young mums and says she's a proud feminist. Taking everything in her stride, the humble, and at times reserved, teen is a contrast to her daughter, who never seems to run out of energy. Raphael is Kyanna's father.

Amber (mother at age 17 to baby Brooklyn): Amber admits having baby Brooklyn has turned her world upside down and has made her more reliable, responsible and mature. This single mum does everything she can to try and make herself and her son Brooklyn proud. When Amber isn't looking after little Brooklyn, she enjoys getting glammed up for a girly night out once in a while. Ste is Brooklyn's father.

On Monday, July 10, 2017 from 10pm-Midnight, MTV aired the U.S. premiere of TEEN MUM, showing back-to-back episodes: "Life as a Teen Mum" (10pm): Life as a teen mom is lots of things, but it's never dull. This is the story of Naomi, Megan, Mia, Amber, and Chloe -- five girls, living in the UK, whose lives took an unexpected turn. "You Ruin Everything" (11:05pm): Chloe and Jordan go on holiday to Spain, Naomi finds it hard to let go of Raphael, Megan's mom finally confronts Dylan about his cheating, and Mia gets her first taste of motherhood.
Season 2 of TEEN MUM debuted in the United States on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on MTV. The season opener, "Daddy Always Comes Back," catches up with mums Amber, Chloe, Megan, and Mia, and introduces new mum Sassi.
