Plot Synopsis

In this extreme game show, contestants battle each other -- and their fears -- in a series of elimination challenges that they must play in total darkness, as they vie for the $5,000 cash prize. There are no lights and no blindfolds, and the players face their fears and unexpected surprises in a series of nerve-wracking games. Four contestants -- or four teams -- start the game and must survive three, timed elimination rounds, during which they plunge their hands into tanks of bugs or food, identify malodorous smells, use only their mouths to identify an item or any other crazy stunt. After each round, the players/teams with the best times continue, while the person/team who took the longest time to complete the task is eliminated. This series returned for a second season on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 10pm ET with a couples contest that required competitors to guess the weight of a variety of very surprising animals, identify items placed around their heads inside a restrictive bubble helmet, and navigate a mouse trap-laden maze.
