Plot Synopsis
In this multi-part special event series, the three guys behind MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 and RiffTrax -- Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett -- provide unconventional and hilarious commentary around narration and dialogue of National Geograhic programming. Each 60-minute episode of TOTAL RIFF OFF features clips from multiple Nat Geo and Nat Geo Wild shows, including specials, MY DOG ATE WHAT?, MAN VS. MONSTER, UNLIKELY ANIMAL FRIENDS, ALPHA DOGS, and many more programs. In the first episode, "Killer Shrimp N' Friends," the RiffTrax guys dig into some Bad@$$ Animals and a segment featuring a pup with an affinity for thongs. The second hour, "Demon Bat," features a flesh-eating bat the guys like to call Christian Bale (a BATMAN reference, of course). Finally, in the third installment, "Guy and a Goose," the guys work their commentary magic on an unlikely relationship between a man and his goose, followed by segments about gator wranglers and highly trained K-9s. Nat Geo premiered three back-to-back episodes from 8-11pm ET/PT on April Fool's Day 2014 (Tuesday, April 1, 2014).

TOTAL RIFF OFF returned on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 8-11pm ET/PT on Nat Geo Wild with three back-to-back episodes, starting with an encore presentation of "Demon Bat," followed by two new installments: "Man v. Monster" (9pm), as RiffTrax takes on the Mekong Flesh-Eater, a creature believed to attack unsuspecting fishermen in Thailand's rivers; and "Animals Behaving Badly" (10pm), with primal pranksters, indiscriminate mating and animals on the loose.
