Plot Synopsis

When a British man wakes up in the Australian outback with no memory, he must use the few clues he has to discover his identity before his past catches up with him. Set in the vast and unforgiving Australian outback, this six-episode crime thriller begins with a massive tractor truck trying to run a British man off the road. Awakening later in a nearby hospital -- hurt but alive -- The Man has no memory of who he is, what he's done...or why he's in Australia. With the help of rookie cop Helen Chambers and local waitress Luci, The Man's search for his identity propels him on an epic quest -- as merciless figures from his past relentlessly hunt him down. THE TOURIST made its U.S. debut on Thursday, March 3, 2022, as HBO Max released all six episodes of Season 1. On Thursday, February 1, 2024, THE TOURIST made its Netflix debut, as the streaming service released the entire first season.
