Plot Synopsis
THE TREEHOUSE GUYS is a one-hour reality series that follows designer James 'B'fer' Roth and his crew of craftsmen, as they construct treetop retreats. From Hobbit-style cottages to open air structures that offer unparalleled woodland views, each 60-minute episode features a different job, including the pilot, when these professionals used local and salvaged building materials to build a treehouse on an Oahu beach with Kaneohe Bay as the scenic backdrop. Chris 'Ka-V' Haake and B'fer have worked together in the shop and then started building treehouses together in the fall of 2000 for the non-profit organization Forever Young Treehouses. After building more than 30 treehouses over 11 years, the B'fer and Ka-V branched out to form The Treehouse Guys, LLC in Warren, VT. On Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11pm ET/PT, DIY Network debuted the pilot episode, and 13 months later the cable network broadcast the official series premiere, showing back-to-back new episodes on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 9-11pm ET/PT. Season 2 of THE TREEHOUSE GUYS premiered on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, immediately following an eight-hour marathon (1-9pm) of encore episodes. In the season opener, "Blue Ridge, GA," The Treehouse Guys are in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Blue Ridge, Georgia, building a treehouse 15 feet in the trees! Clients Michelle and Kevin Swim want this treehouse to become the be all, end all place for friends and family to gather on the cool fall nights the Blue Ridge Mountains are famous for. Armed with a napkin plan, neighbor Joe is helping the guys build the Swims a tricked out treehouse on their budding vineyard.

On Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11pm ET/PT, DIY Network premiered the third season of THE TREEHOUSE GUYS. In the season opener, "Artistic Arboreal Abode in Big Sky," the only thing better than living in a forest is living on top of the forest, and Columbia Falls, Montana, family Darin, Kati and their son are doing exactly that with the help of The Treehouse Guys. Nestled high in the ponderosa pines of their heavily forested property, B'fer and his team are building an impressive two-story home in the treetops. This creative family is also getting in on the build action by focusing on a large spiral staircase made from a giant tree trunk Darin use to climb in as a kid.
