Plot Synopsis

One year after falling into Pete's arms at a karaoke bar, reformed party girl Kate settles down and marries him, becoming part of his extended family, which includes two ex-wives and three stepchildren. Diane, ex-wife number one, is a former Olympic swimmer, who is now an orthopedic surgeon and the mother of 15-year-old fraternal twins, Hillary and Warren. Pete's second wife, Jackie, is a good-natured yet self-centered mother to their adopted son, Bert, and can pull Pete's strings with her special blend of neurotic new-ageyness. Juggling all this baggage is uncharted territory for Kate, who finds support with her best friend Meg, a party-hearty singleton -- and the only woman Kate knows who has less experience with kids than she has. ABC aired the series premiere of TROPHY WIFE on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 9:30pm ET/PT, as Kate offered to handle a parent-teacher meeting at Warren's school, but things spiral out of control when a vodka incident leaves Kate in a compromising position.
