Plot Synopsis
Created and executive produced by Terence Winter, TULSA KING is a one-hour drama series that follows New York mafia capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, OK. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet. TULSA KING premieres on Sunday, November 13, 2022 on Paramount+, as the streaming service releases two episodes. One week later, Paramount Network hosted a special linear airing of TULSA KING's first episode on Sunday, November 20 at 9:10pm ET/PT, with a simulcast on Pop Network and CMT. A new episode dropped each week on Paramount+ through January 8, 2023. TULSA KING maed its broadcast debut on CBS on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 8pm ET/PT, with the Eye Network airing the rest of Season 1 with a new episode each Sunday.
The second season of TULSA KING debuts on Sunday, September 15, 2024 on Paramount+. In Season 2, Dwight and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they're not the only ones who want to stake their claim. With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York. Country star Jelly Roll cameos this season.
