Plot Synopsis

ULTIMATE POOLS is a half-hour series that takes viewers to the coolest backyard pools around -- from flaming trees and movie screens to shipwrecks and rope swings -- while homeowners and designers reveal how they made their backyard pool dreams a reality. On Sunday, September 3, 2016 from 1-2pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered back-to-back episodes. The series opener, "Pool Party," scores an invitation to a pool party at backyard pools. With pools that rival a water park or resort, these backyards are the place to be when the sun is scorching, not to mention after the sun sets. Amazing waterfalls and fountains, huge spas, splash-pads and incredible nighttime light shows make these backyards party central all summer long. Then, the second episode, "Splashability," reveals how cannonballs and belly flops are far more fun in these backyard swimming pools. Leaping from the tops of caves and waterfalls to back-flipping off rocks and arches, swimmers testify how these pools have the ultimate splashability factor.
