Plot Synopsis

UNUSUALLY THICKE is a half-hour reality/sitcom hybrid series that follows TV icon Alan Thicke and his modern family: his third (and much younger) wife Tanya and his 16-year-old son Carter from a previous marriage. Alan also has two older sons -- Robin the Rock Star and Brennan the Cannabis Politician -- both of whom occasionally stop by. Whether he's having a garage sale after Tanya calls him a hoarder or doing something special for his wife after hurting her feelings during their anniversary dinner, this series reveals the fun, humor and drama that happens in Alan's everyday life. Plus, many celebrities make guest appearances, including: Bob Saget, who is recruited by Carter to help out with a garage sale; David Hasselhoff; Magic Johnson; Minnie Driver; Wayne Gretzky; John Stamos; Bill Maher; Tom Green; and many more. On Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 8-9pm ET/PT, Pop premiered the 14-episode second season of UNUSUALLY THICKE, showing back-to-back new episodes. Season 2 includes guest appearances by Lou Ferrigno, Wayne Brady, Cedric the Entertainer, Lance Bass, Russell Peters, Kato Kaelin, Jon Dore, Dave Foley, Alex Trebek, and Cat Cora. In the season opener (8pm), "Cellmates," Alan and Carter embark on a citywide hunt for Alan's stolen cell phone; wanting a mirror in her bedroom, Tanya makes an unwise bet with Alan. Then, in the night's second new episode (8:30pm), "The Promposal" Carter receives an anonymous invitation to the high school prom; Alan picks a fight with Tanya over which renovation project should take priority.

Pop premiered the Season 2 finale of UNUSUALLY THICKE on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 11am-Noon ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the morning's first new episode (11am), "Growing Strains," Alan considers growing marijuana on the ranch; Tanya's night out becomes a gang war when cyberbullies attack in person. Then, in the season ender (11:30am), "The Bucket List," Alan guesses half right when creating a bucket list of surprises for Tanya's 40th birthday.
