Plot Synopsis

In a different city each week, brother-and-sister realtors compete to find one family their dream home: Phil DuMoulin proves that buying downtown doesn't mean a huge mortgage and no living space, while Sarah Daniels proves that the suburbs aren't all cookie-cutter houses and soccer moms. Determined to find families not just the perfect home, but also the perfect neighborhood, Phil and Sarah have very different ideas about what that means, and each half-hour episode of URBAN SUBURBAN follows one family as they make the stressful decision of where they want to ultimately settle down: the city or the suburbs. Sarah, author of "Welcome Home: The Complete Canadian Guide to Buying or Selling Your Property," has has been living in the suburbs for more than 16 years and currently lives with her four dogs in a cottage home in White Rock. Her brother, Phil, specializing in residential real estate serving mostly multi-family building renovations on Vancouver Island, is married with three kids living in the suburbs. Discovery Fit & Health aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes.
