Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of VANISHED INTO THIN AIR chronicles two stories of people who unexpectedly disappeared, leaving few clues behind for family and law enforcement to guide their searches. In the series opener, "Hidden," investigators launch a frantic search to find 27 year-old Sherri, and then discover a dark and violent secret that may have gotten her killed; when a beloved Spanish teacher drops off the face of the earth, police turn a placid town upside down. Then, in the second episode, "Going Places," Melissa Lewis doesn't show up for work, launching an intensive search that finds her brutally killed -- but to locate her killer, police must reconstruct her movements; 11 years after Gail Moody vanished from her home, a confession reveals the chilling details.
