Plot Synopsis

Taped in front of a live audience at Harpo Studios in Chicago, Wanda Sykes hosts this two-part special that features stand-up comedy and comedy shorts with Sykes and her guests. The first, one-hour show, which aired at 10pm ET/PT on Saturday, July 13, 2013 on OWN, included the comedic stylings of Andi Smith, Gloria Bigelow, Dominique and special celebrity guest Brooke Shields. One week later, OWN aired the second, 60-minute program at 10pm ET/PT, highlighted by comedians Kym Whitley, Carmen Lynch, Tracey Ashley and Marina Franklin. On Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, OWN premiered the third installment of HERLACIOUS, with a one-hour episode featuring sketches and comedians Adele Givens, Jessica Kirson, Helen Hong and Kellye Howard. Plus, celebrity guests Kristin Chenoweth, Wayne Brady, Jeff Probst and Camryn Manheim made special appearances.

On Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on OWN, HERLACIOUS returned with a fourth special, featuring guest stars Cheryl Hines, Paula Poundstone, Judy Gold and Sheryl Underwood performing in sketches like: "Super Soul Train Sunday," a parody of Oprah's SUPER SOUL SUNDAY; "Black is the New Blue," a parody of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK; and many more outrageous bits.
