Plot Synopsis
Directed by James Jones and inspired by Nick Kostov and Sean McLain's book, "Boundless: The Rise, Fall, and Escape of Carlos Ghosn," WANTED: THE ESCAPE OF CARLOS GHOSN is a four-part documentary series that chronicles the story of CEO-turned-fugitive Carlos Ghosn and his relentless climb to the top of the corporate ladder, shocking arrest, and unbelievable escape that stunned the world. The series includes never-before-seen interviews and footage with the prime players -- including Mike Taylor, the former Green Beret who orchestrated Ghosn's harrowing escape -- who lived in the Ghosn orbit, his rise to corporate power in Japan, his several arrests and the details of his harrowing escape to Lebanon. WANTED also features the man in the middle of it all -- Carlos Ghosn -- who, for the first time, tells his side of this ongoing, global news story, from start to finish. All four episodes of WANTED: THE ESCAPE OF CARLOS GHOSN dropped on Friday, August 25, 2023 on Apple TV+:
"Chapter 1: Hubris": An ambitious plan leads to unimaginable success when Carlos Ghosn takes control of Renault and Nissan. As his star rises, cracks surface.
"Chapter 2: Hostage Justice": Ghosn feels the grip of the Japanese legal system, allies shed light on a possible conspiracy, and enemies wage a bigger war.
"Chapter 3: Escape": Arrested again, Ghosn turns to a high-stakes scheme -- complete with a pulse-pounding disappearing act.
"Chapter 4: Victim or Villain?": Secrets from Ghosn's past emerge, while his decision to flee has a seismic impact.
