Plot Synopsis

Created by Marly Reed, Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke, THE WAY HOME is a one-hour drama series that follows the lives of three generations of women -- Kat Landry, her 15-year-old daughter Alice, and Kat's mother Del -- who are all strong, willful and independent. More than 20 years prior, life-changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven and she remains estranged from Del to this day. Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for their fractured family. With Kat's marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, she decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back. Although Alice is none-too-thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family's farm, though the reunion isn't what Kat had envisioned. As the three generations of women slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening -- and surprising -- journey none of them could have imagined as they learn how to find their way back to each other.

Hallmark Channel premiered the second season of THE WAY HOME on Sunday January, 21 2024 at 9pm ET/PT. The new season starts where the shocking Season 1 finale left off -- with Kat exclaiming to Del that she knows what happened to Jacob. As Kat continues her quest to find Jacob and bring him home, mother and daughter uncover unexpected revelations about their origins that bring answers to some questions while new ones are raised. In the season opener, "The Space Between," Kat has an epiphany and excitedly tells Del she thinks she knows what happened to Jacob, but her declaration isn't met with the excitement she hoped. After swearing off time travel for seven months, the pond calls to Kat and Alice once again, though with unexpected results that set mother and daughter on distinct paths in the past. After leaving Port Haven once all the predictions had manifested, Elliot returns from his travels abroad but the status of his relationships with Kat and Alice are influx. News of the death of Evelyn Goodwin, the town's oldest resident and member of the founding family, brings back painful memories for Kat and Del but what she leaves behind in her estate sparks the start of a new mystery.

On Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT, Hallmark Channel premiered "Bring Me to Life," the Season 2 finale of THE WAY HOME. Del, Kat, Alice, and Elliot Each receive answers about their past and present, while hope for the future brings new questions.
