Plot Synopsis

Inspired by a real experiment and the 2018 film THE WAVE, WE ARE THE WAVE is a one-hour coming-of-age drama series that follows a group of rebellious teenagers, led by the new mysterious classmate Tristan Broch. In pursuing their dream of a better tomorrow they build a community that spreads into a mass phenomenon. What begins as an idealistic and playful uprising against the establishment, soon starts to take a terrifying turn -- but the power of The Wave has already grown out of control. Netflix released the entire first season of WE ARE THE WAVE on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
