Plot Synopsis

Based on the Marvel comic book series of the same name, WHAT IF...? is an animated series that re-imagines famous events from films in the Marvel Comics Universe. Directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer, this series features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T'Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more. The first episode of WHAT IF...?, Marvel Studios' first-ever animated series, dropped on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 on Disney+, with a new episode each Wednesday through October 6.

Season 2 of WHAT IF...? premiered on Friday, December 22, 2023 on Disney+. A new installment dropped daily through Saturday, December 30. The Watcher continues the journey as a guide through the vast multiverse, introducing brand-new and familiar faces throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The animated anthology series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles. The season opener asks the question, "What if Nebula joined the Nova Corps?"
