Plot Synopsis
Based on the book series of the same name by James Oliver Rigney Jr. (under his pen name of Robert Jordan), THE WHEEL OF TIME is set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it. The story follows Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity. The first three episodes of THE WHEEL OF TIME drops on Friday, November 19, 2021 on Amazon Prime Video, with a new episode debuting each Friday through December 24.
The sophomore season of THE WHEEL OF TIME premiered on Friday, September 1, 2023, as Prime Video released the first three episodes of the new season. A new installment drops weekly on Fridays. Rand al'Thor learns he is The Dragon Reborn -- a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world ... or break it. Desperate to protect him from the Dark One, an army of powerful women must reckon with his burgeoning power and encroaching madness. The Wheel of Time turns, and the Last Battle approaches. Though Rand thought he destroyed the Dark One, evil is not gone from the world. In Season Two, threats new and very old seek out the young friends from the Two Rivers, now scattered over the world. The woman who found and guided them is now powerless to help, and so they must find other sources of strength. In each other, or themselves. In the Light ... or the Dark.
Season 3 of THE WHEEL OF TIME premiered on Thursday, March 13, 2025 on Prime Video, which released the first three episodes of the new season. A new installment dropped weekly on Thursdays through April 17. This season's storylines are primarily based on the fourth book of Jordan's series, "The Shadow Rising," which is a fan favorite, and takes viewers to many new regions and cities across the fictional continent of the Westlands, including the vast deserts of the Aiel Waste, the intoxicating and dangerous port city of Tanchico, and the forbidden and fog-shrouded ancient city of Rhuidean, where Rand and Moiraine will both experience life-changing revelations. Meanwhile on the other side of the world, in Rand's small hometown of Two Rivers, his lifelong friend Perrin Aybara will also embark on a personal journey, one which will change him forever.
