Plot Synopsis
WHO KILLED BIGGIE AND TUPAC? is a three-episode documentary that investigates the deaths of hip-hop icons Biggie and Tupac, but one question remains: who killed them? Here's a brief history about the duo:
1993 -- Tupac Becomes Biggie's Mentor: Tupac regularly made time to guide upcoming rappers in the hip-hop industry. At this time, he focused particularly on Biggie. Allegedly, Shakur took credit for influencing Biggie's early music.
1993 -- Biggie and Tupac Become Friends: Their friendship began in 1993. Biggie met Tupac on the set of POETIC JUSTICE in Los Angeles. It's been reported that Tupac was playing "Party & Bullshit" on set, which was Biggie's first single, while Tupac was already an established artist.
1994 -- Tupac Rejects Biggie: Biggie asked Tupac to be his manager, but Tupac refused this proposition, telling Biggie to stay with his current manager at the time, Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs.
1994 -- Tupac Is Shot: Tupac was shot at Quad Recording Studios. He believed that Biggie knew about the attack in advance, but Biggie denied these claims.
1995 -- Biggie Releases "Who Shot Ya?": Biggie released "Who Shot Ya?," a track that Tupac and his fans allegedly interpreted as a diss track about Tupac. Biggie denied the track was about Tupac; however, Tupac still rebutted by bragging about sleeping with Biggie's wife.
1996 -- Tupac Released "Hit 'em Up": The song attacked Biggie's stature, his wife, and Sean Combs. Tupac also rapped about the ambush at Quad, stating in chorus, "Who shot me, but ya punks didn't finish / Now ya 'bout to feel the wrath of a menace."
1996 -- Tupac Is Fatally Shot in Vegas: Biggie and Tupac never settled their feud before Tupac's death. While there's no evidence that Biggie knew about Tupac's shooting in advance, the murder has been shrouded in rumors since Tupac's death.
1997 -- Biggie Is Fatally Shot: The year after Tupac's death, Biggie was shot in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. To this day, the assailants of Biggie and Tupac remain unknown.
