WHO'S AFRAID OF A CHEAP OLD HOUSE? is a one-hour docuseries that follows Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein, as they help bargain hunters who dream of owning a classic home affordably priced at under $150,000 with features like antique fireplaces, original wood floors, leaded glass windows, vintage appliances and inviting front porches. During the eight-episode season, the Finkelsteins will take potential buyers on tours of two listings -- from traditional styles such as Colonial Revival, Craftsman, Tudor and Queen Anne to out-of-the-box ones like a church and a firehouse -- that are brimming with history and unique architecture. Ethan and Elizabeth guide hopeful homebuyers through the emotional highs and lows of not only purchasing but also preserving real estate steals. Once the buyers choose their ideal project, the Finkelsteins, along with interior designer Jennifer Salvemini and architectural designer Scott Reed, help them overhaul the forgotten places into beautifully restored gems that feature contemporary elements. WHO'S AFRAID OF A CHEAP OLD HOUSE? debuted on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10pm ET/PT on HGTV, moved to 7pm on HGTV the following week (May 21), and then moved again two weeks later (June 4) to 10am on HGTV, where it continued the rest of the first season.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 10am ET/PT, HGTV premiered "Grand Historic Renovation," the season finale of WHO'S AFRAID OF A CHEAP OLD HOUSE?. A mother of three wants to find her family their big and beautiful, forever old house. She enlists Ethan and Elizabeth's help to restore an outdated kitchen, multiple parlor rooms, and they even turn a bedroom into a bathroom.
