WHY THE HECK DID I BUY THIS HOUSE? is a one-hour reality series that follows San Antonio-based designer and renovator Kim Wolfe, as she comes to the rescue of homeowners who have major buyer's remorse. This former SURVIVOR winner and mom of three uses her expert skills to reinvent their lifeless spaces and make homeowners finally fall in love with their house. On Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Noon ET/PT, HGTV premiered a series sneak peek. In this special preview, "Gutted Garage to Party Barn," Kim brings the party to a family's hazardous garage that has endless possibilities. WHY THE HECK DID I BUY THIS HOUSE? made its official series debut on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV.

Season 2 of WHY THE HECK DID I BUY THIS HOUSE? premiered on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, "Relaxed Rancher," Kim will meet a couple desperate to turn their choppy, mismatched rooms -- including a kitchen whose refrigerator is located down the hall -- into their ideal forever home. To complete the massive project, she'll reconfigure the floorplan to create an open concept living area and kitchen featuring a custom butcher block island and built-in bar with mirrored backsplash, as well as a main bedroom suite boasting a statement vaulted ceiling. As the season continues, Kim will rescue more overwhelmed clients from structural nightmares and unusable square footage to deliver stunning home overhauls.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered "Midcentury Lake House," the Season 2 finale of WHY THE HECK DID I BUY THIS HOUSE? Homeowners fell in love with the quirky details of their midcentury house, but the novelties are wearing off and proving to be dysfunctional. Kim and her team take on their biggest project yet as they turn this nostalgic retreat into a lakeside stunner.
